Dubai’s toll gate operator announced on Wednesday that parking fees at Dubai Mall will be deducted from Salik user accounts. The company revealed that its barrier-free parking payment system will be active across the Fashion, Grand, and Cinema parking areas starting from July 1. Parking at Zabeel and Fountain Views will continue to be complimentary. Following the implementation of the new system, drivers will benefit from free parking for four hours on weekdays and six hours on weekends. Post these free hours, fees ranging from Dh20 to Dh1,000 will be applicable for parking durations from four to 24 hours. Salik stated in a press release that their technology will facilitate a seamless, barrier-free parking experience for mall patrons, featuring automatic fee collection through vehicle plate recognition, which will deduct fees directly from Salik user accounts if necessary. The company has secured a five-year contract to manage the parking payment system at Dubai Mall, effective from July 1.
