As the Dubai Metro marks its 15th anniversary, residents are in for a treat with limited-edition items, special events, discounted Nol cards, and more. The Metro, an iconic public transport system in Dubai, evokes nostalgia through its station announcements, which many residents have grown to love over the years. The driverless train made its debut on September 9, 2009 (09/09/09). Under the theme "15 Years on Track," the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) of Dubai plans to celebrate this milestone with a variety of entertainment activities, surprises, and initiatives aimed at delighting both residents and international visitors.

Highlights of the Metro's 15th anniversary include limited edition post stamps from Emirates Post, a special edition Nol card featuring an exclusive design by Lego Middle East and the 15th anniversary campaign logo, and Metro-related souvenirs from Al Jaber Gallery. Legoland Dubai will host a celebration on September 21, 2024, exclusively for "Metro babies"—children born on September 9 between 2009 and 2023—with registration required via the RTA website. Additionally, limited edition Metro-shaped Igloo ice creams will be available, with 5,000 of these containing a special code on the sticks that can be redeemed for one of 5,000 Nol Terhaal discount cards. Musical performances by Emirati and international musicians will take place at Metro stations from September 21 to September 27 as part of the 4th Dubai Metro Music Festival organized by Brand Dubai.
