On Thursday morning, during the peak rush hour, motorists in Dubai encountered slow-moving traffic and significant delays on a major road. The congestion occurred on a section of Al Qudra road, adjacent to the Town Square area, around 10.30am. A reader of KT reported that the traffic jam was due to ongoing construction work at the Al Qudra Cycle roundabout, where the iconic cycles on two poles have allegedly been removed. According to Google Maps, this traffic snarl-up was expected to cause delays of over 15 minutes, with the first reports emerging around 7am.
