Dubai Municipality has greenlit new sewage system fees, set to be rolled out in phases over the next three years, according to a Tuesday announcement.
In its first update in a decade, the city's governing body stated that the hike would affect current accounts, including sewage collection fees in areas managed by the Municipality. This initiative is designed to keep pace with Dubai's burgeoning population and maintain top-tier sewage services.
New rates are as follows: 1.5 fils per gallon starting in 2025, 2 fils per gallon from 2026, and 2.8 fils per gallon beginning in 2027. Further adjustments are anticipated.
