Dubai Municipality has commenced registration for the fourth edition of the farmers' market, scheduled to take place from December 7, 2024, to February 22, 2025, at the Quranic Park. This yearly market has evolved into a significant community gathering in Dubai, offering Emirati farmers a platform to display and sell a variety of organic products directly to consumers, including fresh produce, dairy items, and homegrown projects.

The farmers' market is integral to Dubai Municipality's commitment to fostering sustainability and improving the quality of life throughout the emirate, with a particular emphasis on bolstering local agriculture. Through such initiatives, the municipality supports local farmers and innovative agricultural ventures.

Ahmed Al Zarooni, the director of Public Parks and Recreational Facilities at Dubai Municipality, remarked, “The farmers' market stands out as one of the most significant annual events held in Dubai's parks. It uniquely blends social and economic elements, uniting community members of diverse backgrounds and age groups to explore local agricultural offerings and partake in educational and recreational activities suitable for all family members.”

Additionally, the market serves as a venue for farmers to directly sell their products to the public, thereby contributing to the local economy and agricultural sector by promoting sustainable farming practices and land use, which in turn strengthens food security in the nation.

Al Zarooni added: “The third season of the farmers' market was immensely successful, with 42 Emirati farmers participating and attracting over 37,000 visitors during its 13-week run, held every Saturday. We encourage Emirati farmers and agricultural project owners, both large and small, to take advantage of this opportunity and register to participate in the forthcoming season of the farmers' market.”

Dubai Municipality offers various amenities for participants in the farmers' market, such as specially crafted stalls for product display. The municipality also supports agricultural projects in the emirate and facilitates business operations within the local agricultural sector by expanding marketing avenues to promote agricultural products in local markets, as well as enabling the participation of small and home-based projects.
