Dubai Police has added the new MG RX9 to its traffic patrol fleet. Recently launched by MG Motors across the GCC, the vehicle starts at $26,000 (excluding VAT). The MG RX9 is engineered for superior performance on all terrains, offering smooth and responsive handling in any setting, according to MG Motors.
Brigadier Isam Ibrahim Al Awar, Acting Deputy Director of the General Department of Traffic, emphasized that the new patrol vehicle will play a crucial role in managing traffic and boosting police visibility in tourist zones and throughout Dubai. He noted that the addition of the MG RX9 underscores Dubai Police's dedication to utilizing the latest technology and advanced vehicles equipped with state-of-the-art smart systems and artificial intelligence.
"These advanced features are intended to enhance traffic and security operations, improve fieldwork quality, and provide exceptional services to the public while maintaining high responsiveness," Al Awar stated. He also commended the collaboration between Dubai Police and Inter Emirates Motors, a partner of MG Motors, in supporting various programs and activities.
Al Awar highlighted the significance of partnerships with private sector entities to promote integration between government and private organizations, ensuring the smooth execution of community initiatives. The vehicle was officially unveiled in the force’s green livery by Brigadier Isam Ibrahim Al Awar during a ceremony attended by Colonel Abdullah Atiq Al Kash, Director of Events Department, Major Jassim Mohammed Abdullah, Head of the Events Section, First Lieutenant Jumaa Ahmad Mahmoud, Head of Transport Section, and senior representatives from Inter Emirates Motors, including General Manager Hisham Al Sahen, Wholesale Sales Manager Raymond Tarabay, and Regional Sales Officer Mohammed Al Haj Hussein.
