Dubai Police have issued a stern warning to motorists regarding the severe penalties for not adhering to mandatory lanes while driving. According to the authority, offenders will face a fine of Dh400 and have their vehicles impounded for 14 days. This enforcement is in accordance with Article 86 of the UAE's Federal Traffic Law of 2017.
The police highlighted that their advanced traffic cameras have been effective in identifying drivers who disregard lane rules. A shared video demonstrated instances of lane violations, emphasizing the risks posed to both the violators and other road users.
