Dubai Police have recently entered into a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Trident Engineering & Marine to enhance the design and production of the force's unmanned surface vehicles (USVs), commonly known as drone boats. This collaboration is integral to the ongoing development of the Dubai Police Smart Boat (Haddad), a pioneering initiative aimed at augmenting the security presence across the emirate's waterways.

Haddad is designed to facilitate the smart transformation of security operations, lower operational and maintenance expenses for security vessels, expedite response times, and bolster databases through comprehensive field surveys. According to Dubai Police, Haddad stands as the first project of its kind in the region.

Maj-Gen Dr Saleh Abdullah Murad, the director of the General Department of Human Resources, who signed the MoU on behalf of Dubai Police, highlighted that the Haddad project is the result of extensive research, studies, visits, and collaborative efforts with various stakeholders to ensure it becomes a benchmark both locally and globally.

Murad also underscored the importance of partnerships in fostering the exchange of expertise, knowledge, and specialized sciences to achieve Dubai Police's strategic objectives.
