During the Eid Al Adha celebrations, children of female prisoners were gifted clothes through the 'You made me happy' initiative by Dubai Police. This campaign, according to Colonel Jamila Al Zaabi, Director of the Women's Prison, is designed to spread joy among the children of female inmates as part of Dubai Police's humanitarian efforts. Al Zaabi detailed that the prison management fosters a supportive setting for these children, ensuring they have access to proper nutrition, regular health checks, and basic education in reading and writing. She emphasized that the environment is predominantly family-like and friendly. Now in its tenth year, the campaign was initiated by the Child and Woman Protection Department under Dubai Police's General Department of Human Rights, in partnership with the General Department of Punitive and Correctional Institutions. The launch event was attended by Al Zaabi, Lieutenant Colonel Dr Ali Muhmmad Al Matroushi, Director of the Child and Woman Protection Department, along with various officers and staff from both departments. Al Zaabi highlighted that the initiative underscores their dedication to social responsibility and their commitment to fostering values of tolerance and love by distributing clothes to bring happiness to children during Eid.
