Within a 24-hour period, Dubai Police confiscated 23 vehicles and three motorbikes in the Al Khawaneej area, according to authorities on Friday. The drivers of these vehicles had made unauthorized modifications that resulted in excessive noise and disturbances.

Maj-Gen Saif Muhair Al Mazrouei, the director of the General Department of Traffic at Dubai Police, stated, '24 traffic fines were issued to the offenders, with fines for releasing an impounded vehicle potentially reaching up to Dh10,000 each.' He strongly advised against installing technologies that boost engine speed, as these can create noise, disruptions, and hazards for residents in residential zones.

Al Mazrouei also cautioned drivers about the risks of reckless and negligent driving, which can jeopardize their own safety, the safety of others, and public welfare, or lead to road damage. He encouraged the community to report such negative behaviors through the 'Police Eye' or 'We Are All Police' services available on the Dubai Police smart app or by dialing 901.

Furthermore, he called on the public to support the 'A Safe Road for Everyone' campaign by advocating for responsible driving and road safety.
