The drone system is integral to various security and police operations, including involvement in security and traffic patrols across Dubai's streets and areas, rescue missions, particularly in remote locations, crisis and disaster management, early detection of hazards, traffic surveillance, and supplying the command and control center with essential information.
The 'Drone Box' system features multiple intelligent platforms throughout the emirate. These drones are launched from these platforms upon receiving reports, substantially cutting down response times for major accidents and emergencies, according to Brigadier Turki bin Faris, Director of the General Department of Operations at Dubai Police, in a recent press release.
