Dubai's royal Sheikha Mahra bint Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum stunned her followers by revealing her divorce on social media last night. In a Tuesday Instagram post, Sheikha Mahra confirmed her divorce, emphasizing it three times in the customary style of Muslim husbands. This announcement sparked significant interaction among her fans, with some posing questions that only the couple could answer. See the post below:
Khaleej Times is unable to confirm if the divorce has been finalized. However, keen social media users observed that the couple has unfollowed each other and removed their shared photos, including their wedding images. In June 2023, Mahra showcased her magical, fairytale-esque appearance from her wedding photoshoot on Instagram, most of which have now been deleted. The few remaining photos on her profile feature Mahra in a breathtaking, embroidered gown, looking radiant in the haute-couture creation by Ezra Couture. Her wedding ensemble included a ballgown, a net veil, and a stunning diamond necklace.
Six weeks prior, Mahra shared a mysterious message on social media, posting a picture with her daughter and captioning it: "Just the two of us." Sheikha Mahra and Sheikh Mana formally announced their marriage in April 2023, and in May 2024, they celebrated the birth of their baby girl. Mahra also disclosed the baby's name — Sheikha Mahra bint Mana bin Mohammed Al Maktoum. Earlier this year in February, the couple had a gender reveal event.
