On Wednesday, Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) announced that its public transport, taxis, and shared mobility vehicles carried 6.7 million passengers during the Eid Al Adha holiday from June 15 to 18. This figure surpasses the approximately 6.4 million riders during the same period in the previous year. The metro, with its red and green lines, served 2.5 million riders, while the tram accommodated over 101,000 passengers. Public buses transported 1.4 million passengers, and marine transport saw 280,000 passengers. Taxis were crucial, with 2 million riders, and shared transportation vehicles had over 350,000 riders. Last year, during the Eid Al Adha break, 6.396 million riders utilized public and shared transport as well as taxis, marking a 14 percent rise from the 5.615 million riders in 2022.
