The cinema located within Dubai's Ibn Battuta Mall has been officially 'permanently closed', as reported by Khaleej Times. A local resident observed large boards obstructing the area she recognized as the cinema section during her visit to the mall on Friday.

"I was curious about the closure. This cinema was our preferred choice due to its lower crowd density compared to other theaters, and it always screened the films my son enjoys," explained the expatriate, who resides in Al Ghadeer. A representative from Nakheel, the company that manages Ibn Battuta Mall, verified that the Novo Cinemas branch at the mall has been 'permanently closed since July 31'.

It is currently uncertain if another cinema operator will replace it. The call center staff indicated they had no further details regarding the closure. A search on Google revealed a 'permanently closed' notice for Novo Cinemas at Ibn Battuta Mall, and the mall is no longer listed on the cinema chain's official website location list.

This theater was a favorite among residents of Dubai's southern neighborhoods, including Discovery Gardens, Jebel Ali, and Al Furjan.
