For a city that has always been forward-thinking and ahead of its time, it's no surprise that Dubai offers a glimpse into its future in 2071. The city boasts several engineering marvels, with the towering Burj Khalifa standing tall above all others. However, while the Burj Khalifa holds the title of the world's tallest building, the accolade of 'most beautiful building in the world' goes to the iconic Museum of the Future. This endorsement comes from Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.
The uniquely shaped architectural wonder takes visitors on a captivating journey into the future, offering a glimpse of what life will be like in 2071. The exterior of the torus-shaped building, powered by solar energy, is adorned with inspirational quotes from Sheikh Mohammed in the form of Arabic calligraphy. One such quote reads: "The future belongs to those who can imagine it, design it, and execute it. It isn't something you await, but rather create."
Here's a guide on how to visit this iconic structure, listed by National Geographic as one of the 14 most beautiful museums in the world.
