The Roads and Transport Authority in Dubai has finalized enhancements to E311 (Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Road), significantly reducing travel durations by over half. The exit capacity from Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road to Rabat Street has increased by 50%, from 3,000 to 4,500 vehicles per hour. Additionally, the travel time from Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road to Rabat Street, en route to Business Bay Crossing, has been cut from 10 minutes to just 4 minutes, representing a 60% decrease. Exit 55 to Rabat Street has been extended by 600 meters, with the traffic merging distance lengthened and an extra lane added, bringing the total to three lanes. These enhancements on the exit from Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road to Rabat Street are part of the RTA's 2024 improvement initiatives, encompassing 45 sites across Dubai. These upgrades are instrumental in supporting Dubai's sustainable development and boosting the happiness and welfare of its residents, positioning Dubai as the premier city to reside in.
