The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) in Dubai has introduced four new bus routes connecting to the metro, effective from August 30, as announced on Monday. Two of these new routes, F39 and F40, will replace the existing Route 31, while F58 and F59 will succeed Route F56. All four routes will operate at a 30-minute interval. Additionally, the RTA plans to enhance several other bus services, including an intercity route, on the same date. Passengers are urged to be aware of these modifications and adjust their travel plans accordingly.
Here are the details of the new routes: F39 will connect Etisalat Bus Station with Oud Al Muteena Roundabout Bus Stop 1, and F40 will link Etisalat Bus Station to Mirdif, Street 78. Route F58 will extend from Al Khail Metro Station to Dubai Internet City, and F59 will run from Dubai Internet City Metro Station to Dubai Knowledge Village. The RTA has also made several adjustments to existing routes to improve clarity and service quality.
Key changes include renaming and splitting Route 21 into 21A and 21B, merging Route 61D with Route 66, and consolidating Route 95 with Route 95A. Route 95A's path will be revised to serve the Jebel Ali Industrial Area. Other modifications involve shortening Route 6, adjusting Route 99 to cover JAFZA One, and adding new stops in The Greens for Route F31. Furthermore, the RTA will enhance 35 bus routes to ensure punctuality and improve the overall commuting experience for passengers.
