Dubai Health announced on Wednesday that a new diabetes centre will be established, capable of accommodating twice as many patients as the current facility over the next decade. Slated to open in 2026, the centre will span over 53,000 square feet, doubling the size of the existing facility. It will offer an extensive array of services and cutting-edge therapeutic programs, significantly enhancing the overall healthcare experience.

While the exact location remains undisclosed, Dubai Health assures that the centre will be conveniently accessible from various parts of Dubai. Authorities revealed that the new facility will integrate artificial intelligence (AI) with traditional healthcare methods. Equipped with advanced medical technology, examination rooms will be designed to ensure a seamless and efficient patient experience.

This new centre is a continuation of the ongoing service provided by the current Diabetes Centre, which recently celebrated 15 years of delivering healthcare services. Since its inception in 2009, the centre has catered to over 15,000 patients. Sheikh Mansoor bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, vice chairman of the Board of Directors, emphasized Dubai Health's commitment to transforming Dubai into a global leader in advancing the healthcare ecosystem. Dr Raja Easa Al Gurg, a member of the Dubai Health Board of Directors and Chair of the Steering Committee for the new Diabetes Centre, added that the goal is to continually enhance services to provide the highest level of specialized care for diabetes patients.
