Dustin Hoffman is mourning the loss of his late “Tootsie” co-star, Teri Garr. “Teri was brilliant and unique in everything she did, and she had a heart of gold,” Hoffman, 87, shared with The Post on Tuesday. “Working with her was one of the greatest experiences. There was truly no one like her.” Garr passed away Tuesday morning in Los Angeles following a long struggle with multiple sclerosis, her publicist, Heidi Schaeffer, confirmed to The Post. The actress leaves behind her daughter, Molly O’Neil, 30, and grandson, Tyryn, 6. Garr portrayed Hoffman’s friend and occasional love interest in the 1982 film, “Tootsie,” for which she received an Oscar nomination. Beyond her role in the Mike Nichols classic, the comedy icon was also recognized for her work in Mel Brooks’ “Young Frankenstein.” This story is still unfolding.
