The Directorate of Enforcement (ED) has carried out search operations in Delhi, Mumbai, Jaipur, Chandigarh, and Bengaluru in relation to the illegal sale of tickets for Coldplay and Diljeet Dosanjh's Dilluminati concerts. During these operations, the ED seized several incriminating materials, including mobile phones, laptops, SIM cards, and other items used in the scam.

This action follows multiple FIRs registered in various states concerning fraudulent ticket sales. The concerts—Diljeet Dosanjh's 'Dilluminati' and Coldplay's 'Music of the Spheres World Tour'—created significant excitement, causing official ticketing partners, Bookmyshow and Zomato Live, to report that tickets were sold out within minutes on their platforms. However, this high demand led to black-marketing of tickets at inflated prices, with fans finding themselves sold fake tickets or charged excessively for legitimate ones.

Multiple FIRs have been filed across various states, including one by Bookmyshow against several suspects believed to be exploiting concert-goers. The FIR accuses these individuals of selling counterfeit tickets and significantly hiking prices due to the high demand for these popular concerts. The ED has launched an investigation under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA), 2002. Searches and investigations by the ED have uncovered information about multiple individuals known for providing such tickets, including fake ones, through social media platforms like Instagram, WhatsApp, and Telegram.
