Preorders for the official Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree strategy guide are currently available at Amazon for $34.74, down from its original price of $45. Initially scheduled for release on September 30, the publication date was quietly moved to October 31. This hardcover edition is the third volume in Future Press's highly acclaimed Books of Knowledge series. We strongly advise preordering if you're keen on adding this guide to your collection, as its availability post-release is uncertain. The first two volumes in the series have been out of stock for months, and it remains unclear whether they will be reprinted. Currently, the only way to acquire these earlier volumes is through resellers in new or preowned condition.
The release of Shadow of the Erdtree follows closely on the heels of the 744-page Bloodborne Complete Guide, also published by Future Press, which hit shelves on October 15 and is currently in stock at Amazon for $54, down from $60. On a brighter note, both official Elden Ring Art Books have been restocked at Amazon and are available at significant discounts. Elden Ring: Official Art Book Volume I delves into the expansive open world, dungeons, main characters, NPCs, and armor of The Lands Between. Meanwhile, Elden Ring: Official Art Book Volume II focuses on the game's formidable bosses and enemies, as well as the diverse array of weapons. Together, these two hardcover volumes span over 800 pages and feature an abundance of captivating artwork and lore. You can purchase both volumes for approximately $77, a combined value of $120.
Elden Ring also boasts an official manga titled The Road to the Erdtree. Unlike other grim and serious manga set in The Lands Between, this one is a comedy with genuinely good writing. It's a must-read for Elden Ring fans and can be enjoyed even without prior knowledge of the game, though familiarity with the source material would likely enhance the experience. Future Press has had a busy year, releasing numerous books focused on From Software games. To mark its 25th anniversary, the publisher has reissued new editions of two of its most popular gaming books: the Bloodborne Complete Guide and the Dark Souls Trilogy Compendium. Published on April 15, the Dark Souls Trilogy Compendium is a 480-page hardcover that offers the most comprehensive exploration of the Dark Souls series currently in print. Like Future's Elden Ring guides, these Bloodborne and Dark Souls books were developed in collaboration with From Software.
While there are many unofficial strategy guides and lore books available on Amazon, the Bloodborne Complete Guide, Dark Souls Trilogy Compendium, and the Elden Ring strategy guides are official From Software publications. Similarly, Udon Entertainment's Elden Ring, Bloodborne, and Dark Souls art books are also official. The trio of Dark Souls Design Works books, translated and published in English by Udon Entertainment, are available directly from Amazon, with the exception of the third book, which has been out of stock for a long time and is expensive from resellers. For those primarily interested in the artwork, the original Japanese editions published by Kadokawa are available on Amazon, including Dark Souls III: Design Works at a significantly lower price than the English edition.
