Ellen DeGeneres and her wife Portia de Rossi's recent relocation to the UK will not affect their friendship with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, according to a new report.

The 66-year-old comedian and the 51-year-old 'Arrested Development' star have moved to the Cotswolds in England, leaving their Montecito, California lifestyle behind. The couple, who married in 2004, became close with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex after the royals moved to the neighborhood following their departure from royal life in 2020.

As they adjust to life in the UK, it seems that Harry and the 43-year-old 'Suits' alum are planning to maintain their close relationship with the couple despite their trans-Atlantic move, a source told InTouch. "Harry has already been providing them with advice on the Cotswolds," a source shared with the outlet. "The atmosphere there is very similar to Montecito, just with more rain, and Harry is quite familiar with it."

The insider also mentioned that for the Sussexes, losing their close friends to England was "quite upsetting." "Ellen and Portia have been a great support for Meghan and Harry since they moved to California," the source continued. "They helped them settle in Montecito and introduced them to many wonderful people. They are a significant part of Meghan and Harry's social circle."

The source added that Harry and the former actress "completely understand why they are leaving; they have considered the idea themselves since the election," referring to Donald Trump's victory over Vice President Kamala Harris last month. "The positive aspect, at least from Harry's perspective, is that Meghan might agree to visit the UK to see them," the source noted. "Knowing that she would have Ellen and Portia's support there could be a real help and might persuade her to reconsider her stance on never returning to the UK."

DeGeneres recently dismissed rumors that her and de Rossi's English countryside home had been flooded following Storm Bert in the UK. The Post has contacted representatives for the Sussexes for comment.
