On Monday, Elon Musk reinitiated legal action against ChatGPT creator OpenAI and its CEO, Sam Altman, accusing the company of prioritizing financial gains and commercial interests over public welfare. The legal complaint, submitted to a Northern California district court, claims that as OpenAI's technology began to revolutionize generative artificial intelligence, Altman altered the story and capitalized on it. Previously, in June, the billionaire had withdrawn a similar lawsuit against OpenAI and Altman, which had charged them with deviating from the original objective of the startup to advance AI for human benefit, not profit. Musk's legal representatives had sought to dismiss the initial lawsuit, filed in February, without disclosing the reasons for the withdrawal.
