The time has almost come for Dubai to once again welcome authors from around the globe. The Emirates Airline Festival of Literature 2025 is scheduled to take place from January 29 to February 3 at the InterContinental Festival City, featuring a lineup of 150 events.
As usual, the festival will include a variety of talks, panel discussions, and workshops. Among the notable figures set to grace the event are American writer and physician Abraham Verghese, known for his New York Times bestseller 'The Covenant of Water,' and Tanzanian-British novelist and Nobel Literature Prize winner Abdulrazak Gurnah.
Other esteemed authors attending include Booker Prize-nominated Nigerian writer Chigozie Obioma and Emmy Award-winning journalist Hala Gorani. The festival will also showcase prominent Arab authors such as Algerian novelist Waciny Laredj, winner of the Sheikh Zayed Book Award for Literature, and Emirati poet and author Khalid Albudoor.
For a poetic evening, attendees can look forward to the Desert Stanzas session. Children will not only discover new books but also enjoy the vibrant performances, games, and activities at LitFest After Hours. For those interested in a deep dive into Jane Austen, the Discoverty Talks session promises an engaging conversation.
