Emirates has unveiled plans to introduce its newly refurbished Boeing 777s, equipped with the latest Business Class and Premium Economy cabins, to Kuwait and Dammam, Saudi Arabia. As more aircraft with updated cabins enter scheduled service, the airline seeks to provide passengers on shorter flights with more opportunities to experience its cutting-edge products. This move also elevates the standard for premium travel, with Kuwait and Dammam becoming the second and third cities in the GCC to be served by these refurbished Emirates Boeing 777s.
The enhanced Boeing 777s, featuring Emirates' signature Premium Economy and next-generation Business Class, will operate as follows:
Kuwait: The retrofitted Emirates Boeing 777 will be in service on EK855 and 856 from October 27.
Dammam: The refurbished Emirates Boeing 777 will operate on the daily EK823 and EK824, as well as the EK821 and EK822 from November 22. Dammam will become the second destination in Saudi Arabia to be served by the retrofitted Emirates Boeing 777.
The Emirates Boeing 777 began its refurbishment in early July, and to date, six aircraft have been fully rolled out into service, flying to Geneva, Zurich, Brussels, Haneda, and Riyadh. The four-class configuration includes 24 Premium Economy seats arranged in a 2-4-2 layout. These 19.5-inch-wide cream leather seats offer a 38-inch pitch, reclining 8 inches for stretching and relaxation, along with 6-way adjustable headrests.
In the new Emirates Boeing 777 Business Class, seats convert into spacious flatbeds that recline up to 78.6 inches. The Business Class seat's 23-inch HD screen, one of the largest in the skies, ensures an unparalleled in-flight entertainment experience. The Business Class cabin will also feature a small bar for light snacks and refreshments. The new Economy Class cabin includes 256 ergonomically designed seats in a palette of soft greys and blues.
Emirates is expanding its network of cities offering the latest generation products in Business Class and Premium Economy, with the introduction of refurbished Boeing 777s on six routes in the US, including Chicago, Boston, Dallas-Fort Worth, Seattle, Athens/Newark, and Miami/Bogota. Customers connecting from Kuwait and Dammam to the United States via Dubai can enjoy a seamless experience across Premium Economy and Business Class cabins.
