The Emirates Red Crescent (ERC) has swiftly delivered essential humanitarian assistance to the victims of the recent hurricane that ravaged multiple regions in the friendly Republic of the Philippines. This immediate relief effort underscores the leadership's commitment to a rapid international humanitarian response, aimed at aiding those affected by natural disasters and facilitating their swift recovery. The initiative is rooted in the UAE's humanitarian, charitable, and developmental mission towards people worldwide, irrespective of their origin, color, race, religion, or international stances on various matters.
Dr. Hamdan bin Musallam Al Mazrouei, Chairman of the ERC's Board of Directors, emphasized that all ERC teams are actively addressing the aftermath of the hurricane, following the directives of Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler's Representative in Al Dhafra Region and Chairman of the ERC. The ERC has also initiated a comprehensive relief plan to counter the effects of this natural disaster, with the goal of mitigating its impact on local residents in the hardest-hit areas.
The authority's strategy in this context focuses on providing essential needs in the initial phase and ensuring their delivery to the affected individuals in their respective areas of residence, in collaboration with the UAE Embassy in Manila, the Philippine capital. The ERC is continuously monitoring the needs of the affected population and swiftly providing the necessary support to enhance its response and reduce the humanitarian consequences for those in need.
