Emirates has reintroduced its daily flights between Adelaide and Dubai. This restored service provides passengers with over 4,200 weekly seats connecting Dubai to the capital of South Australia. The Boeing 777-200LR aircraft, featuring 302 seats across two cabins—38 in Business Class arranged in a 2-2-2 configuration and 264 in Economy Class—will facilitate the travel of more than 220,400 passengers annually between Dubai and Adelaide. This move underscores Emirates' dedication to South Australia and supports the increasing demand for travel to and from the region.

The resumption of Emirates' service is expected to significantly boost South Australia's economy and tourism sector. The South Australian Tourism Commission estimates that the daily direct flights will generate over $62 million annually and create more than 315 full-time equivalent tourism jobs for South Australians. South Australia Premier Peter Malinauskas emphasized, "The return of Emirates' daily service to Adelaide is a pivotal moment for South Australia. We are not only welcoming back a top-tier airline but also reopening our state to the world, presenting our beautiful region to over 220,000 potential visitors each year."

This renewed connection to Dubai and beyond is set to enhance the state's economy, generating jobs and fostering new opportunities for trade and tourism. With an estimated annual economic impact of $160 million, including $62 million in tourism expenditure, this service will be instrumental in South Australia's growth. South Australian Minister for Tourism Zoe Bettison highlighted, "Last night marked the arrival of the first of more than 220,000 Emirates passengers expected to visit South Australia annually due to the daily return of this major international airline. Now, South Australia becomes even more attractive to key international markets, as Emirates simplifies the connection between our state and over 140 global destinations."

Emirates' return will play a crucial role in expanding the state's international market, currently valued at $1.3 billion to South Australia's visitor economy. Emirates' Executive Vice President, Passenger Sales and Country Management Nabil Sultan noted, "Australia continues to be a priority market for Emirates, a commitment we have upheld for nearly three decades. The restoration of our Adelaide service reinforces our dedication to expanding our Australia network, which now offers 70 weekly services across five Australian cities."

Adelaide Airport Managing Director Brenton Cox added, "Our customers will again enjoy the benefits of Emirates' extensive global network, enhancing competition and customer choice, and connecting through Dubai to Europe, Africa, and even the US East Coast. This service will also attract international visitors to Adelaide, crucial for our tourism economy, trade, and broader economic growth, as well as opening new export opportunities for local producers."

Emirates currently operates 70 weekly services from Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth, and Adelaide, connecting passengers with over 140 destinations. On December 1, Emirates will reinstate its second daily service to Perth, offering 77 weekly flights from Australia, capable of transporting 68,000 passengers per week to and from Australia, returning to pre-pandemic capacity.
