Emirates Sports Group has unveiled the Association for the Development of Corporate Sports (ADCS), set to introduce a series of new winter sports events across the UAE aimed at fostering a healthier lifestyle. As a frontrunner in sports tourism and corporate sports within the UAE, Emirates Sports Group boasts a solid history of sports development and investment. This latest venture will encompass a variety of winter sports including ice hockey, figure skating, short track speed skating, and curling, alongside e-sports, strongman competitions, and drone sports.
Vladimir Burdun, co-founder of ADCS and founder of Emirates Sports Group, expressed his pride in the early achievements of ADCS, noting an increasing international curiosity about the project. "I am delighted to report the initial success of the Association for the Development of Corporate Sports (ADCS). We have garnered interest from multiple nations and intend to stage significant events in Dubai, which is the ideal location for our ambitious sports development objectives," Burdun stated. He also mentioned a preliminary conference held in April at the Emirates Sports Hotel, which saw participation from approximately 21 countries, all showing keen interest in joining ADCS.
Mohammad Abbas Ahmad Ali Alblooshi, the General Secretary of ADCS, expressed his enthusiasm for being part of this innovative initiative. "I am grateful to my brother Vladimir, who has been a constant companion and has broadened my horizons beyond karate to include other sports," Ali Alblooshi commented. He also extended his gratitude to the UAE government and the Community Development Authority for their unwavering support.
Furthermore, Emirates Sports Hotel and Emirates Sports Ice Rink have been designated as primary venues for corporate games, according to Burdun. "The ice rink, specializing in ice hockey, will serve as a hub for winter sports in the area, where interest in these sports is on the rise. Corporate sports offer a more inclusive and accessible environment compared to traditional professional sports, appealing to a diverse range of participants regardless of age, physique, or ability," Burdun concluded.
