An Emirati and an Indian have become millionaires after being declared winners in the latest Dubai Duty Free Millennium Millionaire and Finest Surprise draw held on Wednesday. Saeed Mohamad Yousuf, a 47-year-old Emirati who operates a real estate and building materials business in Dubai, won $1 million in Millennium Millionaire Series 469, with ticket number 4399, which he bought on July 17 while traveling to Casablanca, Morocco. "Thanks a lot Dubai Duty Free for this really amazing news!" he exclaimed. Yousuf, who has been participating in the draw for 5 years, is the 15th Emirati to win the Millennium Millionaire promotion since its inception in 1999.
Joining Yousuf is Vidhi Gurnani, an Indian expatriate in Dubai, who won $1 million in Series 468 with ticket number 4760, purchased on July 9 en route to Mumbai from Dubai International Airport. Vidhi, the 233rd Indian to win the promotion, is currently unreachable but is sure to be thrilled with her new fortune.
Following the Millennium Millionaire draw, the Finest Surprise draw awarded four luxury vehicles. Aseilah Saeed Saif Al Kaabi, a 25-year-old Emirati from Fujairah, won a BMW M850i xDrive Coupe (Dravit Grey Metallic) with ticket number 0433 in Series 1885, bought on her way to Mahe, Seychelles. Al Kaabi, who recently started participating in Dubai Duty Free's promotions, was overjoyed to receive an early birthday gift from the draw.
Binyam Tamene, an American based in the US, won a Mercedes Benz S500 (Graphite Grey) with ticket number 1492 in Series 1886, purchased online on July 14. Due to the time difference, he was unavailable for comment but will undoubtedly be surprised by his win. Magesh Prabhakaran, a 48-year-old Indian in Dubai, won a BMW S 1000 R (Bluestone Metallic) motorbike with ticket number 0872 in Series 589, bought online on July 6. Prabhakaran, a senior technician at DP World and father of two, has been in the UAE for 18 years and recently joined Dubai Duty Free's promotion.
Lastly, Hameed Ammacheetuvalappil, a 53-year-old Indian in Dubai, won a BMW R 1250 GS Adventure (Trophy Edition) motorbike with ticket number 0013 in Series 590, purchased online on July 18. Ammacheetuvalappil, a PRO at Jansons Medical Centre Dubai and father of three, has been a resident of Dubai for 33 years and a regular participant in Dubai Duty Free's promotions for 20 years.
