Emirati artist Daen Juma Al Tamimi, a pivotal figure in the advancement of Emirati and GCC drama and television, has sadly passed away at the age of 75.

Expressing her condolences, Latifa bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairperson of Dubai Culture and Arts Authority, shared on X, "The late artist's absence will be keenly felt in both screens and theatres." She further noted, "His artistic legacy stands as a testament to a path of dedication and accomplishment that has significantly bolstered and enlivened the cultural landscape of the Emirates and the broader region."

Al Tamimi embarked on his artistic journey in 1971, emerging as a leading light among the inaugural cohort of Emirati artists. His notable works include Qawm Antar, Al Jeeran, and Dhilal Al Madhi.

Humaid Qutami, former Chairman of the Board and Director-General of Dubai Health Authority, also expressed his sorrow over Al Tamimi's demise. Commending the late artist, Qutami stated: "He was steadfast in his integrity and generosity. His contributions were instrumental in the foundation of local television drama and the creation of impactful and meaningful theatrical productions. He belongs to the pioneering generation of artists in the Emirates..."
