An Emirati hiker who experienced a health emergency in the mountains of Ras Al Khaimah was successfully rescued and airlifted to safety. The Ras Al Khaimah Police's Air Wing Department promptly dispatched a helicopter upon receiving a distress call regarding the medical crisis at an altitude of 3,700ft, according to Maj Mohammed Abdullah Al Awadhi, the department head, who spoke on Friday.

Following a 40-minute search-and-rescue operation, the hiker was located and swiftly transported to a hospital. Authorities are advising both residents and tourists to exercise caution, particularly when exploring mountainous regions, and to be well-equipped with ample food and water to prevent such incidents.
