Sheikh Saud bin Rashid Al Mu'alla, a member of the Supreme Council and the Ruler of Umm Al Quwain, has issued an Emiri Decree concerning the merger of government departments within the emirate. According to Decree No. 7 of 2024, the Umm Al Quwain Municipality and the Umm Al Quwain Department of Urban Planning will be combined into a single entity known as the Umm Al Quwain Municipality Department. The head of the municipality will preside over this new organization and will be fully authorized to make necessary decisions and issue regulatory instructions to fulfill its duties and manage its financial and administrative functions.
The Ruler of Umm Al Quwain has encouraged all work teams to remain steadfast and work diligently to elevate the emirate's status in various sectors, improve both institutional and individual performance, ensure customer satisfaction, and prioritize excellence and innovation as fundamental components in all government operations.
