For companies changing the type of vehicle (e.g., from truck to van or vice versa), additional documents include: Vehicle technical inspection certificate, Approval of Dubai Municipality or municipal test certificate from an RTA service centre, Copy of trade licence, Endorsement of signature, Authorisation letter, and Official letter in Arabic from the company clarifying the nature of change.
For individuals or companies changing a vehicle's color, the required documents are: Vehicle ownership certificate, Vehicle technical inspection certificate, and a Letter from the Criminal Investigation Department at Dubai Police. Individuals must provide their original Emirates ID for updating information if the ID has expired or to verify the applicant's identity.
