Etihad Airways announced the launch of a new route to Al Alamein in Egypt on Tuesday. The route to Al Alamein International Airport (DBB), scheduled to commence in July 2025, will feature two weekly flights on Thursdays and Sundays, connecting Abu Dhabi and Al Alamein. The airline will deploy one of its modern A320 family aircraft, which includes eight Business Class seats and 150 Economy Class seats, on this new route. Departures from Abu Dhabi Airport (AUH) are set for 9.20am, arriving in Al Alamein at 12.35pm. Conversely, flights from Al Alamein will depart at 2.15pm, landing in Abu Dhabi at 7.05pm. This new route will offer direct access to Egypt's picturesque northern coast along the Mediterranean, located near the historic city of Alexandria. Additionally, the new flights will provide UAE residents with easy access to the Al Sahel region, renowned for its lively beaches and expanding coastal resorts.

"We are thrilled to be introducing Al Alamein to our expanding list of destinations," said Antonoaldo Neves, CEO of Etihad Airways. "Al Alamein serves as the gateway to Egypt's hidden treasure, blending natural splendor with cultural heritage, and we believe it will attract guests looking for both relaxation and adventure. This new route reinforces our dedication to delivering unparalleled travel experiences and broadening access to vibrant new markets," he added.
