UAE's national carrier Etihad Airways announced on Friday that its flight from Abu Dhabi to Boston was rerouted to New York due to unfavorable weather conditions.
"Etihad Airways flight EY147, which was scheduled to travel from Abu Dhabi Zayed International Airport (AUH) to Boston Logan International Airport on August 9, was diverted to New York John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) because of adverse weather conditions in Boston," the airline stated on its official website.
"We apologize for the inconvenience caused by this diversion, and our teams are working diligently to support you with your travel plans. The well-being and comfort of our passengers and crew members remain our top priority. We regret any inconvenience this may have caused to your travel itinerary," Etihad Airways further mentioned.
