For numerous travelers on extended flights, the UAE often serves as a midway point. If you find yourself with a few hours in Dubai or Abu Dhabi, seize the opportunity to immerse yourself in a snippet of Emirati culture. The airports in the UAE are committed to providing a smooth, hassle-free experience for passengers, with features like smart gates and home check-ins allowing for swift processing of flight formalities. Transit passengers are also catered to with exceptional efforts by the authorities to ensure their layover is worthwhile, provided they have a transit visa unless exempt. (Here's a guide to obtaining one.)
Travelers stopping over in the UAE can explore the area without the burden of luggage. There's no need to drag multiple suitcases around while snapping photos at iconic locations like the Burj Khalifa in Downtown Dubai or the Louvre Abu Dhabi. Luggage can be stored at designated areas in the airport for a fee.
In Dubai, short-term baggage storage is accessible around the clock at Dubai International Airport's (DXB) Terminals 1 and 3.
