Female social entrepreneurs are invited to apply for grants of up to $100,000 from the recently established Expo City Dubai Foundation, aimed at bolstering their grassroots projects that enhance both people and the environment. Applications for these grants are currently open. Yousuf Caires, the executive director at Expo City Dubai Foundation, shared with Khaleej Times, 'We are prepared to review all submissions and promptly support innovative, impactful projects.' He further explained, 'This marks the beginning of numerous collaborative efforts with Expo City Dubai’s Women’s Pavilion to establish a hub for women social entrepreneurs. We will actively provide financial support, offering grants ranging from $50,000 to $100,000.' The foundation is dedicated to aiding entrepreneurs and new ventures. Caires emphasized that the foundation supports social entrepreneurs in various fields, including climate, youth and education, people of determination, and women. He highlighted, 'We collaborate with a global community of like-minded entrepreneurs, philanthropists, corporations, and other foundations.' Expo City Dubai Foundation stems from the legacy and partnerships of Expo Live, which has supported 191 initiatives across 92 countries. Launched in 2013, Expo Live has positively impacted 5.8 million people globally, generated 160,000 jobs, enhanced healthcare for 1.1 million individuals, and rehabilitated 36 million hectares of desert and non-arable land in its first five cycles.
