Extra Yachts, a division of Palumbo Superyachts, has introduced a new 30.5-metre vessel named the X100 Triplex. The Italian shipyard, responsible for the naval engineering, has characterized the yacht as "markedly vertical." The integration of three decks with a 28-metre base has led to a pronounced bow, characteristic of explorer yachts, a robust hardtop enhancing the sundeck's usability, and interior spaces comparable to those of yachts exceeding 40 metres in length. The exterior design is credited to Studio Agon, which debuted its initial motor yacht concept with BOAT International in the previous year. The accommodation includes four double cabins, two VIP suites, and an owner's suite furnished with an office, vanity, and wardrobe, alongside quarters for a crew of five. The interiors, crafted by Italian studio Laura Brocchini Design, feature light oak wood and metallic furnishings to achieve a modern, minimalist look. Three interior layouts are available, with options to situate the galley on either the main or upper deck. The aft cockpit serves as the primary social area, divided into two zones: one near the beach club equipped with a substantial sunlounge, and the other featuring an informal lounge. The sunlounger's backrest can double as a seat facing the lounge, fostering connectivity between the two spaces. The upper deck offers a formal dining area and a lounge with movable furniture for added versatility. The sundeck is equipped with a sizable bar, sunbathing spots, and a dining table accommodating ten guests. The exterior layout is adaptable, allowing for either a Jacuzzi at the bow or a stern platform for launching a tender. The stern garage can house a four-metre tender, two Seabobs, and various smaller items. Powered by twin 1550hp MAN engines, the yacht achieves a top speed of 15.5 knots and a cruising speed of 12 knots, with an optional upgrade offering 1800hp engines for a higher top speed of 18 knots. This announcement comes on the heels of the sale of the inaugural X90 Fast series yacht, slated for delivery in summer 2025.
