After its initial release on mobile platforms, Fantasian is set to make its debut on consoles and PC on December 5. Developed by Mistwalker and spearheaded by Hironobu Sakaguchi, the creator of the iconic Final Fantasy series, Fantasian also features a musical score by Nobuo Uematsu, a veteran of the Final Fantasy soundtracks. Until now, the turn-based RPG was exclusively available on iOS, macOS, and tvOS, but it will soon be accessible on consoles and PC as well. Preorders for Fantasian Neo Dimension are now open, starting with the Switch edition on Amazon.
By preordering Fantasian, players will receive the Vibran Secret Stone, an in-game item that boosts the experience points earned in battles, allowing characters to level up more quickly. In the game, players assume the role of Leo, an amnesiac hero who must navigate a world ravaged by a mechanical infection known as 'mechteria.' The game blends classic turn-based combat with modern elements, paying homage to the 1990s RPGs that Sakaguchi is renowned for.
One of the standout features of Fantasian is its visual style, which combines real-life dioramas with hand-animated characters. The game boasts over 150 dioramas, creating a distinctive atmosphere as players explore its multi-dimensional world. In addition to offering Fantasian for preorder, Amazon is currently hosting a sale on various Square Enix titles, including Power Wash Simulator, Forspoken, and upcoming releases like Life is Strange: Double Exposure and Romancing SaGa 2: Revenge of the Seven.
