Two individuals were fatally shot in southwestern Germany on Sunday, according to police, who also reported that the alleged shooter was discovered deceased, suggesting a domestic dispute. The assailant was identified as a hunter by both Bild newspaper and SWR broadcaster. Authorities in the Reutlingen area stated they received multiple reports of gunfire in Albstadt-Lautlingen shortly after 12:30 pm. Upon arrival, officers found three bodies, including that of the suspected attacker, as confirmed by Reutlingen police on X. Additionally, two other individuals were wounded in what seems to be a familial tragedy.

Initial investigations indicate a domestic incident, as reported on X. SWR, referencing security sources, revealed that the shooter was a 63-year-old man who allegedly killed his mother and son, and injured his wife and daughter. The injured women were airlifted to the hospital by helicopter, according to SWR. This incident led to a substantial police response, with numerous emergency services seen in the vicinity.
