Dubai resident Parvathy Achyuth's quest for life balance is rooted in a straightforward yet profound mantra: “Stay healthy in a way that feels right for you.” This philosophy, shaped by her personal experiences, forms the bedrock of her lifestyle and leadership.

Parvathy's journey began with a profound personal realization. “I gained weight for my marriage, aiming to match my husband's build,” she recounts. “However, my focus soon shifted to losing weight excessively. Despite dropping to 48 kilograms, I understood that true health isn’t about external appearances—it’s about understanding and respecting our body's unique needs.” This self-reflection taught Parvathy the true essence of health and happiness, grounded in personal, not societal, standards.

Now 31, Parvathy advocates for health as a personal journey. “Rather than following trends blindly, it’s essential to craft a lifestyle that aligns with your own values and needs,” she emphasizes. This insight fueled her decision to start her athleisure brand, Zaecy.

Born in India, Parvathy spent her childhood largely in the UAE before returning to India for education and dance. She first came to Dubai in 2005 and continued to visit during her schooling years. After marriage, she returned to the UAE, where her husband had lived since age two. “While India is my motherland, the UAE is my homeland, my ‘karmabhumi,’” Parvathy expresses. “Fate keeps bringing me back here, and I’m deeply grateful for the connection I share with this beautiful country.”

Starting a business in the UAE was initially uncharted for Parvathy. “I always envisioned starting a business post-40, after gaining more experience and financial stability,” she admits. But life, she notes, often guides us toward our true paths. For Parvathy, the challenges of entrepreneurship have only bolstered her determination. “We’ve encountered numerous obstacles, but I’ve always viewed them as opportunities to learn and grow. Confidence, patience, and a readiness to learn are crucial. Mistakes are part of the journey, but what truly matters is analyzing them, understanding the errors, and proceeding with caution.”

Through Zaecy, Parvathy is dedicated to creating garments that blend fashion with functionality without sacrificing comfort. “At Zaecy, our foremost priority is understanding our customers' needs and providing practical solutions,” she explains. “For example, many women struggle with bloating, so we’ve designed leggings that offer belly support while ensuring comfort and stretch. Small enhancements, like adding pockets to men's tank tops, are designed to make our customers' lives easier.”

Parvathy is passionate about using eco-friendly fabrics and exploring ways to upcycle garments to minimize waste. “Zaecy should feel like a second skin,” she asserts, “which is why we ensure our garments are crafted from the finest materials. We’re also investigating how we can transform fashion pieces into functional items that benefit both the home and the environment.”

For Parvathy, the path to entrepreneurship has been laden with lessons, but her belief in staying true to oneself remains unshaken as the ultimate route to success.
