A fire erupted in a building currently under construction in Dubai’s Al Barsha area late on Saturday.

The Dubai Civil Defence characterized the fire in the 30-story structure as 'moderate' in a statement to Khaleej Times. Firefighters arrived at the scene within six minutes of the incident being reported at 10pm. Civil defence teams from two stations promptly initiated evacuation and firefighting efforts.

The fire was contained within three hours, with no reported casualties, and entered the cooling phase at 2.18am. The cause of the fire has not been disclosed by the civil defence, but the site was handed over to the appropriate authorities 'according to standard procedures'.
