The first batch of tickets for next year's Glastonbury Festival will go on sale tonight. Coach tickets for the festival will be available for purchase starting at 6pm GMT, giving fans the first chance to secure a ticket for the highly sought-after event. Glastonbury is the UK's largest performing arts festival, attracting over 200,000 attendees annually for a five-day celebration on Somerset farmlands. With over 100 stages featuring a diverse lineup of music stars, comedians, circus performers, poets, and cabaret acts, Glastonbury's reputation as the premier summer festival is firmly established. The downside of its popularity is the annual scramble for tickets. With only hundreds of thousands of tickets available to millions of potential attendees, Glastonbury sells out within hours—sometimes minutes—of going on sale. Tonight marks the first of three opportunities to grab those coveted Glastonbury tickets. Coach tickets, which include a festival ticket and a coach ride from select locations, are the first to be sold as usual. The general sale for the remaining tickets will commence on Sunday, November 17th at 9am GMT. This is the bulk of the tickets, so those who miss out tonight still have a chance. There will also be a further sale in the spring for tickets that haven't been fully paid for, although this typically offers the smallest number of tickets. This year, tickets have increased in price. A standard ticket will cost £373.50, plus a £5 booking fee, totaling £378.50 (€455). Coach ticket prices vary, with the cheapest being a one-way ticket from nearby Bristol or Bath at £24 (€29), and the most expensive being a return ticket from Edinburgh at £169 (€203), in addition to the standard ticket price. Only a £75 (€90) deposit per ticket is required at the time of purchase. If you haven't considered attending Glastonbury this year, it might already be too late. To prevent scalping, each ticket must be registered to an account, with the registration deadline being November 11th. The festival has also changed its ticketing system to reduce the chaos of millions of people refreshing their devices in a desperate attempt to secure tickets. This time, anyone on the See Tickets webpage when the sale begins will be randomly placed in a queue, with a progress bar indicating how long before they can purchase tickets. If you access the page after the sale starts, you'll be added to the back of the queue. Once you reach the purchasing page, you can buy tickets in groups of up to six. This new system is similar to those used by other major events like Taylor Swift and Oasis concerts. Glastonbury has warned that using multiple devices or tabs to access the website may result in your IP address being blocked, preventing you from buying a ticket. The advice is to use only one tab or device per IP address and not to refresh the page once in the queue. Glastonbury Festival will take place from June 25th to 29th, 2025. No acts have been announced yet, but last year's lineup included stars like Dua Lipa, Coldplay, SZA, and Shania Twain.
