At least five individuals have perished, and 28 others have been saved so far following the collapse of a building in Lucknow, located in the northern Indian state of Uttar Pradesh, on Saturday evening, according to a senior official.
The official stated that several people are still believed to be trapped under the debris of the collapsed structure in the Transport Nagar area. "Drones are being utilized in the evacuation process to expedite the rescue operation... There are reports of 5 fatalities as of now," Uttar Pradesh Home Secretary Sanjeev Gupta informed ANI.
"28 people have been rescued and have been transported to hospitals for treatment. Several individuals are feared to be trapped," an official disclosed to ANI.
