A Florida race shop is battling against an old adversary—time. Instead of rushing to complete a build for a major race or reducing lap times by a few tenths, the shop is now in a race against time to locate its stolen semi-trailer before it's lost forever. The police have already retrieved the tractor, but the trailer, which contained cars and equipment valued at $1.5 million, is still missing. The theft occurred early Sunday morning around 3 AM in Pompano Beach, Florida, north of Miami. Two individuals entered Rennnsport-One's parking lot and made off with the semi and trailer within 20 minutes. The truck was equipped with a GPS tracker, but the last signal was received a few hours later in the southwest Miami area. The tractor was found abandoned on a residential property about 70 miles from the shop on Monday. The Broward Sheriff's Office continues to search for the trailer, and Justin Bellinzoni, the owner of the business, has engaged a private investigator to aid in the search. The trailer holds four Porsche race cars, parts, and other equipment, and the company is currently seeking alternatives to meet its obligations to its clients. Anyone with information is urged to contact Broward Crime Stoppers or call 954-493-TIPS.
