A red alert for fog was issued on Friday, from 3:30 AM to 9:30 AM, by the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM). This alert warns of a significant drop in horizontal visibility, which could further decrease at times in certain internal areas.
Additionally, a yellow alert was issued for the possibility of fog formation from 1:30 AM to 9:30 AM, which might worsen at times in some coastal and internal areas. Abu Dhabi Police, in a post on X, urged motorists to drive with caution due to reduced visibility caused by the fog. Drivers are advised to adhere to the changing speed limits displayed on electronic information boards.

Overall, residents can anticipate a fair day with partly cloudy conditions at times. The meteorological department noted that temperatures could drop as low as 12ºC in the mountains, with humid conditions expected by night and continuing into Saturday morning, potentially leading to fog or mist formation in some internal areas. Humidity levels may reach up to 95% in certain areas of Abu Dhabi.
Residents in Al Quaa should expect humid conditions today, with humidity potentially reaching 95%. Similarly, in Razeen, humidity levels could also peak at 95%.
Light to moderate winds, occasionally freshening, are expected to blow across the country. The sea conditions will be slight to moderate, becoming rough at times in the Arabian Gulf and remaining slight in the Oman Sea. Meanwhile, according to the Saudi Press Agency, thunderstorms are forecasted for most regions of the Kingdom until next Tuesday. The Makkah region is expected to experience moderate to heavy rains, leading to torrential downpours, hail, and downward winds that will stir up dust and dirt.
