Former striker for Arsenal, Everton, and Nottingham Forest, as well as commentator, Kevin Campbell, passed away at the age of 54. British media reported that he had been hospitalized for two weeks prior to his death, which was announced on Saturday. Arsenal expressed their grief on social media, stating, 'We are devastated to learn that our former striker Kevin Campbell has died after a short illness. Kevin was adored by everyone at the club.' Campbell's senior career began at Arsenal in 1988, where he remained for seven years, including two loan periods. He moved to Forest in 1995, spending three years there, and then joined Everton in 1999, where he played for seven years before retiring in 2007. Everton honored him on X, saying, 'Not just a true Goodison Park hero and icon of the English game but an incredible person as well -- as anyone who ever met him will know.'
