Fortnite Chapter 2 Remix is set to launch on Saturday, and Epic Games unveiled the new season in an unconventional manner on Friday night: through a Snoop Dogg concert in Times Square. This approach is fitting for the artist who not only headlines Fortnite Festival Season 6 but will also play a significant role in this music-centric, retro-themed battle royale season. As previously rumored, Fortnite Chapter 5 concludes with a sequel to last year's OG season. Chapter 2 Remix, as the name suggests, will focus on the early seasons of Chapter 2. The season will last only a month, concluding on the evening of November 30, and will introduce the Remix Pass.
The Remix Pass, shorter than the typical battle pass at just 70 tiers, includes five skins that are remixes of existing skins from early Chapter 2. This is one more skin than last year's OG Pass offered. Each week of the Remix season will spotlight a different artist. Week 1 features Snoop, Week 2 brings Eminem with a new skin inspired by his Houdini music video attire, Week 3 showcases Ice Spice, and the final week pays homage to the late Juice WRLD. Each week will introduce themed locations and weapons in battle royale, along with new item shop skins for each artist. A cel-shaded Juice WRLD skin will be available for free to anyone who logs in on the season's final day, November 30, when the Remix finale event takes place.
In Fortnite Festival, Snoop Dogg headlines a new Music Pass featuring a throwback cel-shaded skin, accompanied by a bundle of item shop cosmetics. Priced at 1,400 V-Bucks, this pass is more affordable than previous Festival passes but still includes four jam tracks and some Festival instruments. The new season of Fortnite Festival will run until January 14.
