After a brief delay that prevented Fortnite's newest cosmetic type from launching last week, Fortnite Kicks are set to arrive on Thursday, November 21. This update finally allows players to equip any of their skins with a pair of stylish Jordans. All owners of the Remix Pass will receive their first pair, the Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG ‘Black Toe Reimagined’ sneakers, as part of the bonus rewards, which have already been automatically distributed to pass holders. To celebrate this occasion, Epic Games is offering a free emote in the shop called Show 'Em Off, designed to showcase your new kicks.

In addition to the initial pair, the first week will see a launch wave of kicks available in the shop, split into two drops. On November 21, three pairs of Nikes will be available. The second drop, occurring on November 22, will introduce four pairs of Jordans. All these items will be removed from the item shop at the reset on November 26. These are just the first of four planned drops that will include Nikes, Jordans, and original Fortnite shoes, indicating that more kicks will be introduced to the shop after these initial releases.

At launch, the new kicks cosmetics will be compatible with approximately a quarter of all Fortnite skins, including some collaboration and IP skins. Epic Games is aiming for kicks to be compatible with 95% of all skins by next spring. However, the remaining 5% might not be so lucky—for example, Patrick Mahomes, who is sponsored by Adidas, may never be able to wear Nikes due to his sponsorship deal. This scenario will likely remain an exception.

Fortnite's 32.11 patch signifies the final update for the Remix season and will include files related to the end-of-season live event featuring the late Juice WRLD, along with two Juice WRLD skins. One of these skins, a cel-shaded version, will be free for everyone who logs in on the final day of the season, November 30.
