The Fortnite servers are currently down, but rest assured, this is all part of the grand plan. Fortnite servers are set to return soon, marking the beginning of Chapter 6 Season 1. Here's everything you need to know.

As Fortnite's latest flashback season draws to a close, it's time to turn our attention to Chapter 6 Season 1, which promises to be another significant milestone for the game. Chapter 6 will transport players to a Japan-inspired island, introducing new characters, including the iconic Godzilla. Here's what you need to know about when you can dive back into the action.

When Fortnite's servers come back online, it will signal the grand launch of Chapter 6. The new map is set to be incredibly exciting to explore, but for now, all we can do is wait patiently for Epic Games to bring Fortnite back online. But when exactly can we expect this to happen? Typically, a new Fortnite season starts between 4 AM and 10 AM PT / 7 AM and 10 AM ET on launch day—in this case, Sunday, December 1—though there have been exceptions.

Earlier this year, a technical issue delayed the game's return until late in the evening, with Fortnite remaining offline for nearly a day. However, such situations are rare and not something to expect regularly. Additionally, Fortnite went offline earlier than usual at the end of Remix Chapter 2, so it's possible it could come back online sooner this time. The exact timing depends on both Epic's plans and the success of the patch they aim to deploy.

Once the game is back up, Chapter 6 Season 1 will bring a plethora of changes, including a new map inspired by Japanese culture, new vehicles and weapons, and likely some new traversal abilities, judging by past chapter launches. Of course, a new battle pass themed around Japan will also be introduced alongside these updates.

Once the servers are back online, we'll provide a comprehensive roundup of all the new features in Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 1.
